March 12 and 13, 2011

Lazy days. Yesterday we cleaned in the morning, and went for a walk in the afternoon. Daddy had fun spoiling Grace and Katie with some very Italian fashions, Liam got an Official Florence soccer jersey, and Katie picked out a cute little duck. We also went to the street market and got Katie some new slippers.
Another ride on the merry-go-round (at 1 Euro/ kid, some of the best money I've ever spent!) and an uber-rich hot chocolate at Gilli. A nice, slow-paced kind of day. We went for dinner just down the street, at what turned out to be a Michelin rated restaurant. sooooo yummy! Again, the kids were outstanding in their behaviour and we got a round of applause from the table of Italians next to us along with many positive compliments! Seriously, it's getting a little weird. I guess they're really not used to kids behaving well.

Today it is raining quite hard, and no one feels like going out, so we went for a quick grocery shop and are staying in tonight. Don't tell the kids, but Chris went to the butcher yesterday and we're having roast rabbit tonight!

  1. I don't think the last post worked so I will try again. I am glad that you are trying the rabbit before we get there. We are not quite the "foodies" that your kids are. Perhaps, with enough time and opportunity, we, too, will get there.
